Are you uncomfortable? Does even the word “vaccine” make you feel a certain way? Take a second to sit in that feeling. Why do you feel that way? What about vaccines makes you shy away from this topic?

For some reason, vaccines are a polarizing group of products. Two camps have been deemed the only stances to take when discussing vaccines. Someone decided you can either be pro-vaccine or you can be anti-vaccine.

I reject that thinking. I refuse to fit into a box someone else made for me. My advice is to approach this section with as open a mind as you possibly can. When I first started researching vaccines, I was emotionally “pro-vaccine.” I even verbally abused the family member who was trying to share research with me because I thought they had lost their mind.

I still regret the words I spoke and am not really sure why I responded emotionally to a topic that I really didn’t know that much about. That’s originally why I started reading manufacturer inserts. Because I wanted to shove the inserts in my family member’s face to prove I was right and they were wrong.
